About Me

I believe that there is strength in story and counselling provides an avenue for one to find their ability to heal. I practice with a person-centered approach, using techniques from other modalities such as CBT, SFBT, Narrative, and Family Systems Theory, to name a few. I infuse mindfulness and yoga-based techniques into my practice as an additional option for clients to explore. I have worked with both adult and youth populations, predominately concerning issues such as anxiety, eating disorders, and changes in life situations. I have experience in the public school system, supporting students with learning, behavioural, and other diverse needs. My view of wellness is a holistic one; it recognizes that there are different domains for health: physical, mental, spiritual, social, and emotional. All can be addressed through counselling and are often inter-connected. In my free time, I like to be active, whether it be outside, in a gym, pool, or yoga studio. I enjoy cooking and baking. Whenever possible, I love to travel.
